The Buhler High School kitchen has a new salad bar lady named Beth Lorett. Lorett started this year as a lunch lady. Her duty in the kitchen is to prepare fresh salads and sandwiches.
Before that, she taught for 21 years in Hutchinson at a kindergarten to 2nd grade Montessori school. Montessori school is a school that is a “child-centered educational approach based on scientific observation.”
Her first day at Buhler was August 16.
‘’I really like it here,” Lorett said. “The ladies I work with and the students are my favorite part of working as a lunch lady.”
She says that her least favorite part about being a lunch lady is “having to throw away things that are still good.”
She found the job at BHS website and decided to work here in Buhler because her grandsons go to Buhler Grade and she lives here in town.
