Band Director Eric Stambaugh instructs his students at BHS band camp. Band Camp took place at BHS from July 29 – August 2.

The show being put on this year by the Buhler High School Band, which has been titled “Untold,” is looking to be an interesting one from all that has been said by percussionist Felix Mendoza, fr., and Band Director, Eric Stambaugh.

“This is probably the first show in quite some time that is more of an aggressive show versus a storyline show, so it’s a little bit broader of a topic,” Stambaugh said.

This doesn’t seem to be stopping them from hitting the ground running and striving to be the best they can be for the 2019 – 2020 season.

“The ultimate goal for our band this year is to put out our best product at every competition and game, does that mean 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place? We don’t care. We just want to be the best we can be,” Stambaugh said about what his band is looking to accomplish.

Stambaugh’s band members seem to be feeling the same way he is when it comes to their outlook on this season. Mendoza, said “I have loved every second of it,” when speaking about his high school band experience so far.

According to Stambaugh, the BHS band is on a mission this year, not for an award or an accomplishment, but to just perform to the best of their ability and enjoy the experience.
