The Buhler mens golf team started practices on Tuesday, March 5, in the old gym because of the 5 inches of snow on the ground outside. Nearly two dozen guys have decided to try their hand at golf this season.
Torgerson said his goals for this season were to win League and Regionals. and then qualify for State. When asked what the team should work on improving, Torgerson said the main things were working on short game and making better decisions on the course.
According to Torgerson, there have also been some major rule changes to the sport of golf that will be an adjustment for this year’s team, and he also stated that Buhler will be hosting Regionals at Hesston on May 13.
Senior golfer Morgun Roeder, who has been golfing for 4 years, said his goals for the season are to reduce his number of bad shots taken and get a new PR along with placing at a varsity tournament. Roeder said his favorite thing about the sport was getting to meet new people on the golf course. Roeder said this about the on coming season, “Lets get this bread”.
