Buhler High School had the opportunity to host the Scholars Bowl league tournament on Jan. 23 at 4 p.m. here at BHS. Six teams from the AVCTL League came to compete. All of them had junior varsity and varsity teams.

The varsity team of Senior Paddy Qiu, and Juniors Aaron Ensz, Allison Bomgardner, Seth Manche, and Red Bridges, tied for second with 3 other teams, but eventually lost the tie-breaker.

The junior varsity team made up by Sophomores Braedon Martin, Jacquline Spahr, and Mason Poepperling, and Junior Bailey Schmidt, and Freshman Harrison Morris had 2 wins and 3 losses.

“We are super excited to compete tonight and we have high hopes for this tournament,” Schmidt said.
