Boy Erased by Garrard Conley will be the first book discussed by the Buhler High Inclusive Book Club on Thursday, Nov. 15 from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Library Media Center. The novel came out in movie form on Nov. 2 and will start showing in this area on Friday, Nov. 16.

Seniors Jamison Dingler and Danny Stowers started the club. “We are hoping to accomplish a positive and inviting environment for LGBTQ+ youth and allies,” Stowers said.

Mrs. Gray has copies of the book in the LMC now to check out or for purchase for $11.  Pre-reading the novel will help facilitate good conversation about the story, but students and staff who are interested may attend even if they haven’t had a chance to read the novel yet.

“We will continue to meet either every two weeks or whatever works best for the majority. Jamison and I are also planning a line up of books for the upcoming months as well as possible food and drink options,” Stowers said.

People who choose to attend the first meeting will be treated to free hot chocolate and homemade desserts.
