Smoke is seen billowing from the farmhouse located on the corner of N. Buhler Road and 82nd on September 4.  The controlled burn brought down the house to make way for construction of the new Hometown Food Store, scheduled to open in 2019. (Photo by S. Berblinger)

Sometime before next school year Hometown Food Store is planning to move to the corner of 82nd and N. Buhler Road. The new location will almost double in size and will feature more convenience items.

In addition to expanding the grocery section of the store, they are adding to the convenience side by putting in a large salad bar, hot food items, pizza, and fried chicken with sides on their menu.

“The new location will feature a steel frame and a rustic farming community style,” said Sarah Orem, store manager.
